Meet your principal... Mrs. Johnna Tolomeo Maraia was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey and is currently raising her family, along with her husband, in Rockland County, New York. Mrs. Maraia is a mother of three children. Her oldest daughter and son are in high school and her youngest daughter is a middle schooler. Their family is completed by their golden doodle, Baci and cat, Jinx. Mrs. Maraia's free time is usually spent on the sidelines of a field or court cheering on her children.
Mrs. Maraia earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Montclair State University, and a post-graduate certification from Long Island University. Her experience includes being a teacher of Health and Physical Education, a guidance counselor and a coach of various sports. Mrs. Maraia has worked for the Warwick Valley Central School District since December of 2007. Mrs. Maraia began as the Assistant Principal of Warwick Valley Middle School. After three years at the Middle School, Mrs. Maraia became the principal of Park Avenue Elementary School. She returned to the Middle School after the closing of Kings Elementary. In July of 2015, Mrs. Maraia was appointed Principal of Sanfordville Elementary School. She is honored to be the instructional leader of Sanfordville. |
