The Circus is in town! Our PTA brought The National Circus Project to our school again this year. This was a five-day residence event which began on Monday, May 9th with two awesome assemblies for the entire school. Throughout the week our 4th grade students participated in introductory workshops. This target group also received training in advanced skills such as stilt-walking, clowning, plate spinning, devil sticks, acrobatics, hula-hoops, balancing , tight wire, and more. The 4th graders worked with the circus artists to develop and choreograph their new skills into incredible solo and group routines, culminating in an amazing, one-of-a-kind Student Circus show. This show was on Friday, May 6th at the middle school. Thank you to the PTA, PE teachers, 4th grade teachers, and Renaldo and Little Lou from The National Circus Project!
